New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has been appointed to a federal working group examining oil and gas markets for potential wrongdoing.

Schneiderman says the working group created at the request of President Barack Obama is just getting started on its investigation. Other members include representatives from the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Security and Exchange Commission and Treasury Department.

Schneiderman was in Buffalo Friday talking about high gasoline prices.
