Great Britain’s Mara Yamauchi is confident that she will be able to bounce back from her “shocker” of a performance in Sunday’s ING New York Marathon.

Yamauchi’s hopes of winning her first marathon in the Big Apple were dashed in spectacular fashion as she drifted after leading early on to finish in 13th place with a time of 2 hours 31 minutes 38 seconds, over eight minutes short of her personal best.
