Australians Rachael Grinham and Kasey Brown have both moved into the quarter-finals of the Carol Weymuller Open women’s squash tournament in New York.

Grinham progressed when English opponent Tania Bailey withdrew with illness, while the Queenslander was leading 11-8 11-9 9-11 5-3.

“It’s a shame the match had to end like that,” 2006 champion Grinham said.
